FletcherConsult developed and maintains the PeoplePowered software that runs this website.
In a press release by the Tewkesbury Area Partnership (TAP), the Chair, Wendy Spence, said:

General Information about the Tewkesbury.Net website:
- Since February 2000, Tewkesbury.Net has been providing a web based information service for local people, businesses, inward investors, visitors and tourists.
- The website has run seamlessly for 5 years. It currently has 220 registered local businesses plus a further 35 non-profit organisations. The website has accumulated an archive of over 450 local news stories.
- The mobile phone WAP service was one of the first of its kind, allowing mobile phone users to access news and the business directory.
- Currently the website has 2,000 users a week and 4,000 page impressions per week. The statistics are currently increasing at around 20%/month.
- To celebrate the website's 5th anniversary on March 10th 2005, Craig Fletcher is introducing a range of enhancements to the website, together with a range of advertising opportunities.
The enhancements include:
- New town photo diary (PhotoBlog), using mobile phone cameras
- New web cam position in the town centre (coming shortly)
- New features section
- A 'Local News 5 years Ago' feature
- Speaking 'avatars' to help promote the website
- Reinstating the monthly competition (currently sponsored by Chocolate Heaven)
